針對反課綱學生林冠華燒炭輕生，國民黨文傳會主委林奕華今天(30號)日表達難過之意，對部分政治勢力介入，模糊課綱調整議題，無法理性討論也感到遺憾。
林奕華表示，早在今年6月，教育部就針對課綱爭議，決定「新舊版教科書併行」、「新舊版教科書差異部分，不列入大學入學考試命題」、「即刻依程序啟動課綱檢討」，但民進黨主席蔡英文等人不把真實情況告訴學生，一再以偏頗言論讓學生站在社會抗爭第一線，承受巨大的壓力，煽動悲劇的發生。
林奕華呼籲政治人物應該有所擔當，負起讓青年學子了解法治價值的責任，不該躲在第二線，卻以誤導的方式鼓動年輕朋友從事非法抗爭，以避免類似的憾事再度發生。
